Not finding the ex-mayor, the crew re-gathered at the bottom of the massive columned staircase. They headed upstairs to continue their search.
The crew checked room by room until they found the master bedroom. The ex-mayor sat up in bed watching the nightly news as the crew entered the threshold. The exmayor’s eyes scrutinized every man and woman’s face as they emerged into the light of his room; he remained cool as ice as the heavily armed group took stance in front of him.
“Let me take a guess at what brings you here,” the ex-mayor remarked, glancing back up to his ceiling mounted television while he continued to munch on a can of Pistachios. “It could only be one of three things,” he continued, reaching for a glass of water on an adjoining night stand, taking a swig and returning the glass to the stand. “The Commission, The Police League or both. In either case, I ain't telling you cocksuckers shit. You enter my home unannounced like you're Delta Squad 6 or some fucking body and you're nothing more than mere armed niggers, who just so happen to be breaking THE FUCKING LAW!!
“Fuck the law,” Dana blurted, moving towards the side of the exmayor’s bed.
“And fuck you too,” Pockets added, coolly moving to a position on the far side of the bed. “You idiots put a finger on me and I promise I’ll watch cheerfully when my boys feed you to the rats and dogs,” The ex-mayor threatened.
“For some strange reason you seem to think you’ve been promised time,” DA spoke, stepping closer to the foot of the bed. “You haven’t. You either tell us what we wanna know or you’ll be the one fed to the rats…fuckin’ cracka.”
The room became eerily silent in that moment. Mike, Belinda and Sharon’s training kicked in, and they began searching the room for clues.
“Why don't you two give our ex-mayor here a light interrogation,” DA ordered, giving Pockets and Dana the ok to get rough. “Mike, take Belinda and Sharon, find his office and tear that fucka apart. I'm gon sit right here and watch our esteemed ex-mayor get his hard skin softened.”
“You son's of bitches will regret this,” the ex - mayor swore, right before the sound of Dana’s right hand slap announced the arrival of the reddest hand print seen on a human cheek before.
The ex-mayor went into hysteria, screaming, kicking and fussing. DA walked away from the bed and out to the balcony as Pockets and Dana began their implementation of ass kicking.
DA radioed the other group for their position, taking a seat on the sturdy and expensive balcony bench.
DA took note of the huge balcony with massive flower plants and as his smile suggested, rich people shit.
Kid Bags answered the radio transmission, noting the capture, removal and transport of the coroner. They were less than five minutes away from DA’s location and heading back to compound. DA acknowledged the information and clipped the walkie talkie back to his vest. Sharon came through on the small two way radio.
